Is Steve G is this stephen Gallagher?? I know he lives in Richhill somewhere but didnt know he was involved in the club, just like to say well done on the ras victory!! do you go out on the training spins at the wkds and do you coach all the good young riders in the club?? is it all the young lads are any senior riders?? Hey Mark,
Yeah it is stephen, i do go out most weekends with the club, espically this time of year. I do coach/advise most of the young riders and anyone else who asks for advice. The rides have a good selection of junior/senior riders and the local training rides seem to gain results in the races with the sucess of both senior and juniour races. Your welcome to come out anytime for a spin.

Our brains our still the best computers around. Months of training information is stored upstairs and you still need to use it no matter how good you get at using a power meter. The power meter can not predict when you feel good, when you are sick, when you are low on fuel and so on. Heart rate monitors to some extent can help solve some of those problems but they are not the perfect solution either. We still need to tune into our breathing and our legs. Our body is very good at telling us what is going on if we are willing to listen (are the muscles tight, sore, tired or do they feel normal or even great). So, as far as I can see, it will always be a combination of physics, physiology and brain power which will help us to optimize training or race performance.

It's people such as Gordon Brown that have influenced this credit crisis in the first place, along with the bank bosses, who, due to their own greed, allowed people who had no chance of paying it back, large mortgages or loans. Until people start to realise you can't live life in constant debt, we won't get out of this mess.

Adam Rayner, I have had a few discussions with a few about night rides and maybe we could get something aranged with the steady cyclists to go out together ie safety in numbers, maybe steve G could find out times and places to meet, also the apollo guys are out on tues and thurs nights and go round portadown and lurgan so maybe if you could contact them are steve G could help us out again!! definately good training!!

sorry to kept bothering you stephen you probaly have lots of training to do, but do you recommend going running are going to the gym are just keep it with pure cycling, also were do you meet on sat and sun mornings? wat time? Is there many go out?? Is it fast and what is ur average distance, sorry for all the questions but just want to know!! may come along this sat!! if I find out wer u meet!!!! it will be me and three of my friends 1 of them is a complete novice!! the rest are pretty proficient bike handlers!!
I would be keen to hear your thoughts about the above? also I am thinking about buying a power meter, have seen many of the pros recommend it?? but dont have a clue about it!! can anyone help

Hey Mark,
think youwould be better giving the bike shop in richhill a ring so to answer your questions properly. Ring 02838 871066 We leave from Bike shop in richhill main street at 10am both sat and sun. Ave speed about 18-18.5mph most days and a flat/rolly route so shouldent be a problem to anyone with basic fitness and bike skills. As for last post, always appreciate the loving, as long you are not some kind of mentalist! ;D Also, i will get all the info on the night time rides, routes/times ect in the next cupl of days and post it, but i know the Steady guys are keen on keeping it 'Steady' and probably not going as hard as the lurgan gang. I will get a chat with all of them anyway and let you all know. Cheers

Hi Steve G, Sorry for not getting out last Sunday with you but was a bit tied up at work! I hope you didnt wait for me if you did sorry!! I will be there this Sunday Hopefully with a few of my friends! 10 am at the shop? if I am not there dont wait just go on!! I know of the Williams Brothers do they go out with the club I am not sure are they in this club?
